Providing grants to owners in need of the last act of kindness with their horse. Horses are assessed by a licensed veterinarian. Experience has shown us that horses which do not have saddle training, unknown level of training, or lack good ground manners are the ones filling up the slaughter trucks or being used as "tripping horses" in illegal rodeos.The majority of homes willing to provide a new home to an at risk horse are looking for a horse that is already under saddle and with decent ground manners. Therefore, as an incentive for more people to offer homes to at risk Arabian horses with lack of training, additional funding would enable us to provide one month of assessment and training by application and approval to qualifying private homes with one of our team trainers.
